There is an app for your phone that is called KC Dictionary. I find the main value in this app is called a trainer. The trainer

lets you put in the vocabulary you want to learn. It is a little tedious to load but I’m so very happy with the results it is worth it.

Right now I’m learning a diplomatic vocabulary for an exam I may have to take. Most of the test books do not have this specific

vocabulary. This app lets me load it with the vocabulary I need not what is in every text book. This is what I have been doing

and I found it really is working. I also find I’m not forgetting the vocabulary over time. First I find the vocabulary I need or want to

study. Then under Search I look for the word. I make file cards also to accompany the trainer. I put the English and pinyin on one

side and the Chinese Character on the other. Then there is a little plus sign in the app I press it and then press save. The word

has been entered into the trainer. The trainer has a program of review. It makes a set of 30 words composed of new words and

review words. After doing this for a month I have gone back to my file cards and found I remember just about everything I have

entered into the trainer. That is an indication that the review process is also built into the trainer. I also write each character 10

times when I enter it into the trainer. Just now I’ve reviewed my cards and found the information is really solid in my memory. That

means it is a really good way to study. The basic app is free.
