Originally the GOP stood for the Grand Old Party. Today in America it is synonymous for the Republican Party. The American Media has lost its sense of human because the people who just did the hacking of Sony whoever they were called themselves the GOP or Guardians of Peace. They had to have a real sense of Humor! I had to prepare an advertizing piece for my husband. We would always go to the post office where there were posters that said Wanted by the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation). He had a great sense of humor and before I knew it, he had me preparing a flyer to advertize him as a cellist. It was called Stephen Kates Wanted by the FBI. In small letter beneath it said, Friends of Beethoven Inc. The next sentence said wanted for carrying a 1779 Montangana Cello across state lines. He played a very famous Montagnana cello that is now in the Metropolitan museum of Art. Normally on wanted posters they say carrying fire arms across state lines. We just took a poster from the post office and changed all illegal things into musical terms. One included speeding so we changed it to Wanted for playing the Haydn Cello Concerto at illegal tempos. His bow became an automatic weapon that could play x number of notes per second and was not to be reckoned with. We quoted actually reviews from Concerts he played. For Example, “he brought the house down” or” he set the audience on fire.” It was the most successful Publicity we ever did. The bottom of the poster had three picture of him. One on stage playing solo with an orchestra. The quote below said, stealing the show. Another showing him using intricate fingering in the upper range of the finger board and the last one was a mug shot wearing his tuxedo which is the standard attire for a soloist. Below it said, often seen wearing this disguise. The FBI or friends of Beethoven was identical to this week’s GOP or Guardians of Peace. No one in the press picked up on the humor of the hackers!
