Yesterday I was taking some friends to the Airport. We tried to find a Hotel in Madrid but all the hotels where I normally stay were sold out. It was a holiday. Fortunately I checked hotels on the internet and the only thing available were hotels at ridiculously elevated prices. As there was no traffic due to the holiday I decided to go to a beautiful little hotel I stayed at once. Due to the bad economy when we got there the hotel was closed. They recommended a hotel across the highway. It was wonderful. The rooms were clean and there was lots of heat hot water internet and traditional decorations. It also had a restaurant with good food. The price was extremely low. We used the internet to investigate the situation in Madrid before we got there thus making life much easier for us.
This morning I got an email from China. Each country has different search engines. As I collaborate with a magazine in China we have found the country where I am at the moment gives different results. My Chinese friend often can’t find information that I can. We have developed a system that she sends me a topic she is researching. If she doesn’t find anything in her country, I put it in the search engine and normally, in a few seconds, I have the results. I send her the results. It is team work! The wonder of the Internet is that I can go anywhere in my computer!
