I have compared several schools before my decision. I want to learn Chinese well and I also like to know Chinese culture. And I think the attitude of the teacher, the consultant here are all very positive. I like to stay with them and get the care from th
White washing is a very old system of painting. It is actually putting
a thin coat of plaster on a wall of fence. It is something that has been
used for centuries and requires a different technique than normal painting.
It is also a method of sanitization. It gets rid of all bugs. I have a
wall in my house that gets watered everyday by the nuns next door. They
have a garden on the other side. They try not to water my wall but the
wall absorbs the water from the ground up to the second floor. The nuns
also have this problem on their walls that surround the garden. Once 30 years
ago. I used White wash instead of paint. It lasted a number of years until
the humidity came through again. When it was painted it only lasted a few
months. I decided to do the old fashion method of white washing my wall. The
first coat hardly covered anything but it chased out all of the ants in
the house. They all came into the kitchen as the white wash kills them. I
wasn’t here that day and some girl friends had a meeting and were frightened
away by the ants. I came back and got rid of them in two seconds as I know how
to chase away ants. Just plain old vinegar gets rid of them. Then the next day
I painted it over again and let it dry but still it didn’t cover up the wall
as my house is an adobe house that is a few hundred years old. Finally after
doing this for 6 days unsuccessfully a girl friend came over and said do this.
She showed be how to use a sponge with holes to textures the wall. It covered
everything up immediately. I had wasted days and lots of energy because I wasn’t
experienced at White washing a wall!
