Every year about Thanks giving time there is the largest convention and horse show for the Spanish horse in the world. People from all over the world attend. There are over 250,000 attendees. It is the second biggest event in the city of Seville. As I’m multi lingual I often am asked to give tours around Spain to visit the horse farms after the event. As so many people a crowded in to one spot we tend to see a lot of colds after the event. I’ve noticed that the Australians and New Zealanders tend to consistently get sick after this show. I’m assuming they don’t have the antibodies for our colds here in Europe. This year I had some Australian American New Zealanders come to Granada from the world games in Normandy. Once again after being here for a day they came down with a severe cold or flu. The show in Seville is so famous for this happening we call it the Sicab flu. (Sicab stands for Salon Internacional del Caballo)When people change environments, even though in good health, this is a common problem. They almost always come down with something. Once again I’m preparing for the big show but this time I will come prepared with cold remedies for my guests!
