Now it is the season for tourism. School is just out and the exams are almost over. It is interesting to note what

economies are doing by what countries the tourists come from. In Spain at the moment the majority of tourists are groups

of young American students. Everywhere you go there is s group of students being led by a guide that may or may not speak

Spanish. Spain’s youth is just starting to speak English as the instruction of English in the schools is very bad. In the United

States the majority of all the tourists are Chinese both from Taiwan and the main land. There are so many Chinese in the

United States there is now actually an Educational Quota to limit the number of Chinese the universities are accepting. This

is an indication of the Economy of both the United States and China. They now are the two powerful countries economically

sound in the world. The United States is still the favorite destination for the Chinese. Even without bumping into the groups one

can tell as the favorite stores of the Chinese now all have salesmen that speak mandarin. The lack of mandarin speakers can

also be seen by the adds all over the USA requesting mandarin speakers. In Madrid all the major stores now have a mandarin

speaker in the interpreting department. Out of the capitals that has not yet happened as there is a lack of Spanish mandarin speakers.

It will most likely only take a couple more years for that problem to be solved as now mandarin is taught in the public schools .
