I have been in Mandarin Garden for one year, and I enjoy my work here very much. Now I teach German. I want to share some experiences of leaning German with you. Mark Twain once said that a gifted person could learn English in 30 hours, French in 30 days and German in 30 years. Thus many people ask me, is German really so difficult? First, let’s look at some examples: A dog is "der Hund"; a woman is "die Frau"; a horse is "das Pferd"; now you put that dog in the genitive case, and is it the same dog as it was before? No, it is "des Hundes"; put it in the dative case and what is it? It is "dem Hund." Yes, there are many rules in German, but if u can speak English well, u can learn German well too. Please practise more and believe in yourself. Viel Erfolg!
This month I have given the lesson to my students for three times. The first lesson we learnt a part of pinyin system, the second lesson we learnt the orther part of pinyin system, and the last lesson we learnt the text They are very young, so they learnt new things very quickly. We learnt all the pinyin system and a lot of new words, which including some name of food, some name of drink, some name of flowers(the lady like flowers very much), the family tree, and some useful vebers. They could remember a lot of new words. But like the orther foreigners, they also have some problem in the pronunciation, specially the initials “j”/“q”, “z”/“c”, “zh”/“ch”. Accroding to this case, I will help them to make the pronunciation perfect. Next time we will leran a new lesson, unite two. We will learn how to introduce oneself. So at the end of this lesson, I told them to write a bussiness card to me. In the card, they should write down their name, their nationality, and their occupation. Then I can know their information with the cards and perpar something make our lesson interesting and useful to them. I hope my students should enjoy my lessons and learn something well.
Many people would ask me, “Why do you want to be a teacher? Especially when teaching Mandarin is not even your major.” But since I am a person who is optimistic, enthusiasm, full of passion, loves to help, to share, to learn and to make friends, I would say, “Why not?” Although it will not be a easy job for me to do and there are so many things I have to learn to make myself a qualified teacher, several years experience of living abroad and the deeply love to my motherland and my langrage made me believe that I could do it! The most important thing is that Mandarin Garden opened their gate and said “yes” to me. They have trained me to be a professional teacher, taught me to be responsible, efficient, and creative. They gave me the opportunity to become a good teacher, a better person. I am ready to take my adventure with my student on the way of learning Mandarin!
I joined Mandarin Garden in October 2008. I always hoped that I could become a Chinese teacher. And Mandarin Garden offered me this opportunity to join the family. I am delighted that I officially become a 'Gardener'. I love teaching Chinese, I like to see my students making every little progress. Many foreign students think that Chinese is a difficult language to learn. But there is a proverb in China,"Wan shi kai tou nan", which means that everything is difficult at beginning. As long as we have the faith to do something, nothing is unbeatable. I spent several years studying abroad, I developed good skills in communicating with people from different countries. I understand the need to learn a good local language and to know the local culture. You will be very welcome to come to our Mandarin Garden to learn Chinese and to know Chinese culture, different customs and Chinese traditions.
From day to day, from month to month, I felt I am growing and become mature more and more. In the mandarine garden, there is a continous training course during the working days. Although I have many classes to go, I still like to join the training, because it really help me and give me more new ideas and new teaching methods from other teachers. Moreover, Mandarine Garden gives me a lot of chances to take in part of the training course, because I also can gained many knowledges from the training. I think I will boot up my teaching level on and on. And be more professional and knowledgeful.
Compared with other different companies, mandarin garden has a totally different cultural. Once you step into the door of mandarin garden, you will find the traditional Chinese environment, which will suddenly catch your eye. As a teacher here, I enjoy each day here so much. All of our Chinese can speak Chinese, but whether a teacher has received professional teaching training or not is totally different. In the mandarin garden, for myself, I have learnt how to teach each grammar and structure in a proper way. In another word, I am learning a better way in this garden all the time too. For the teachers, sometimes we will prepare the lessons and discuss about the difficulties together. We are learning from each other as well as helping each others. In order to be a good teacher, I need try my best to improve myself from time to time. I feel so appreciated because all other teachers here will help me do it. Anyhow I think the most important thing for a teacher should be the confirmation from the students. Last Sunday we held the party for the Latern festival, we made and ate dumpling together. Mandarin garden will always supply us such kind of opportunity to make us close to the traditional cultural. To be frank, I gradually realize, to be here, I am not only enjoying the work but also the life.
As a good teacher, the task is not only to teach but also being friends to the students. After class, it will also be a pleasure to contact with them. In Chinese we have got an old saying, no matter what kind of job you do, you must be passion about it. During the teaching process, we can also find a lot of fun. In the recent days, our school held a cultural activity about how to make "jiaozi". This is a very good opportunity for the foreign students to learn more about the chinese cutural. The whole process of the activity was full of happiness. When we stayed beside the students, watching them to make jiaozi in different ways, everybody enjoys a lot. At last we appreciated the masterpieces from different countries, and we couldn't help but thinking the magic language power which connect all the continents around world together. As for us, we are always thinking about one thing. What can we do more for our students? The mandarin garden is not only a place to teach the mandarin but also a real garden where can grow wisdom fruits. And all of the fruits come form the ancient land of china , which raised by the wonderful long history.
I've been here for a long time. I have found that teaching mandrin is quite interesting. I have gained a lot of inspirations from the training. I can find the points, where I can imporve. And I can make a study plan for myself. Actually, here we will have a stage to exchange our viewpoints. We can also learn a lot from each other. When I have difficulties in my teaching, all the people around will try their best to help me. After that, I will have a fresh mind. Working in Mandarine Garden makes me feel enjoyable. I will continue to build up my teaching level.
